I'm a 63 y.o. Road and MTB cyclist.  I've ridden mountain bikes since 1988.  I really wish that I'd taken this course 25 years ago and I might have avoided some of the injuries I received over the years. I took only the morning first intro session at Phoenix and I learned a great deal in a short period of time.  Richard is a very gifted cyclist and coach with excellent pedagogical skills.  The class moved quickly, but covered all the appropriate details needed to handle a bike on technical trails.  Richard had two local expert cyclists who demonstrated techniques while he provided a narrative and answered question. We had one relatively new rider who was very wary of some of the steeper, technical descents.  By the end of the class, you could actually see a significant increase in her confidence using the skills acquired in the class. I'm looking forward to doing one of Ninja's camps and I hope they are able to expand their clinics to my area (Albuquerque, NM). William J.

I recently attended the Ninja Mountain Bike Performance -Jumping mini-clinic on March 10 along with Sorellas Jean Miller and Robin Allen, another lady, and a few good men. The instructors at the clinic went above and beyond for us ladies and the entire group. During the clinic the instructors demonstrated the skills multiple times and then let us practice as we pleased. They were excellent at providing insight and recommendations as to how we could improve. They took time to explain the reasons behind what they were teaching and the variances based on rider size and body mechanics. I cannot say enough how they helped us ladies figure out how to correct our body position and land the jumps exceptionally. At one point it began to rain and after making sure we wanted to continue, they made sure the conditions were safe, checking the ramp and ensuring our safety. We were unable to finish the trail part of the clinic due to the rain and risk of damaging the trails, which they were considerate of as well. However, the instructors are allowing us to continue at another clinic anywhere they teach. How awesome is that! Rarely will you get another chance to continue something once you start it. Just another kudo to this company. Professional, kind, knowledgeable and one of a kind. Just the key elements you want from a mountain bike clinic. Be sure and check them out, you will not be disappointed! ~Emily Davenport

Just wanted to drop you a quick note and video about some of my progression!   In December 2018 I took my first ninja camp in Sedona with Phil and Joanna.  Even during the first part of the first morning they had us doing things I never thought I would do.  Just applying simple skills, body position, and understanding how my bike really works did wonders for me.  I learned how to better read the trail and picked up the skills I needed to ride all sorts of terrain and features with confidence and fun instead of hope and surprise.  I did another camp with Hillary in Oct 2019 in Stokesville, and Hillary gave me even more advanced pointers to help with my cornering ("turns for dough, air for show" is what she said).  She also helped me with some of my boosting on jumps. I've been riding all sorts of stuff since then all over, and loving all of it instead of being afraid, unsure, and unsteady. On Sunday October 17th, I rode this drop/gap in Freedom Park (Big Easy), and I did it without a tow in. https://youtu.be/Sbj__G4DMSo It was a huge accomplishment for me and I'm still on an adrenaline high.  I think it is the second biggest drop in the state behind Hooch at Bryce MTB Park (also on my list).  The bridge slopes up so you can't really see the landing until you are almost over it.  I had to do 3 run ups to understand the gap and the speed needed.  Thanks to Ninja I felt like I had all the knowledge to do this feature with confidence, safety, and incredible fun!  I also did a number of other features throughout the park Sunday I hadn't done before or hadn't cleared before and nearly got them...

I'm so glad I made the decision to be part of the Mulberry Gap 3-day clinic. Richard and Randy are really skilled at breaking things down, very patient and kind. They were very attentive to what each of us needed individually while maintaining a no-pressure, fun vibe. The place is beautiful, rustic and offers a great opportunity to unplug. It's the seemingly little things that make a big difference in your riding, and I feel like I gained some useful insight about not only being on the bike, but set-up and nutrition as well. ~Susan Tully
