Ninja Kids
Are your kids between the ages of 8-11 and excited about mountain biking? Ninja Kids covers the key skills they need to become a safer and more proficient rider (all while having FUN)!
Is your kiddo new to mountain biking? Or have they been riding for a while but need help making their way down the trail? Maybe they’re not listening to your riding advice and you need someone else to teach them about staying safe and in control on their bike? We’re here to help!
We recognize that kids learn differently than adults, so we have developed a kid-friendly, fun and engaging curriculum that covers the key foundational skills that every young mountain biker should learn. Through games, drills and trail riding, your kid will leave with a new level of confidence on their bike and more tools in their riding toolbox. Keep in mind, this is not a group ride or a babysitting session. Ninja Kids, like all Ninja programs, is focused on skills development. Each skill is taught in a step-by-step manner with each skill building off the one before allowing kids to progress at their own pace with the encouragement of certified Ninja instructors and other young riders. What better way to inspire young riders than surrounded by a group of their peers!
After attending a Ninja Kids clinic, be prepared for your kid to start correcting your form on the bike. “One finger braking, Mom!! Dad, you’re too far back on your bike!”. They grow up so fast, don’t they?
Whether your kids are just getting started with mountain biking, dreaming of leaving their siblings in the dust or gearing up for a race, Ninja Kids is the perfect place to start. Set your kids up for mountain biking success by signing them up for a Ninja Kids program today!
6:1 student to instructor ratio, no more than 12 kids per clinic. No prior mountain biking experience required, but all participants should be comfortable riding a two-wheel bicycle. All bikes must have hand brakes and mountain bike tires. No coaster brake bikes will be allowed (they’re dangerous for mountain biking!).

Are you ready to take your mountain biking to new heights, literally?
Jumping your mountain bike is NOT as simple as Ready. Set. JUMP!
Learning how to safely and successfully jump (and land) your mountain bike involves a range of key components and constantly changing variables. Join us as we take you through a series of progressions that will help you understand all the components that come together to create a successful jump. We'll start with basic wheel lifts and bunny hops and work our way up to weighting and un-weighting over a jump. From there, we'll review the anatomy of a jump, discuss varied landings and practice using compression for height and distance. Then we will be ready to get jumping!
All training is done in a controlled environment, either on an appropriate feature (table top) on the local trails or using manufactured jump ramps.
By the end of this clinic, our goal is to have you successfully clearing a 4-5 foot jump (approximately 2 feet in the air) and landing safely and predictably. Participants are encouraged to learn at their own pace in this un-intimidating environment. You will leave this clinic well on your way to jumping mastery - with a more thorough understanding of the mechanics of jumping your bike and a clear idea of what and how to practice!
Come jump with us - sign up today!
**Please note, we require 2 years riding experience or previous attendance at a Ninja Fundamentals Clinic, Intermediate/Advanced Clinic, Camp or Adventure to attend a Jumping Mini-Clinic.

Looking to tackle technical terrain? Ready to add confidence to your riding? Want to exit a corner with speed?
Want to improve your technical riding skills, descend a little faster and generally feel more confident on your bike? You've come to the right place! Leave this clinic ready to tackle rougher terrain and corners with greater speed and control. Negotiate bigger trail obstacles and drops with commitment! This clinic will also help you boost your speed on flat corners, bermed corners and flowing singletrack; all achieved with less pedaling and better use of the trails natural features. It's all about the flow!
The Intermediate/Advanced clinic builds upon the fundamentals and gives you a full toolbox of mountain bike skills that you can apply to any terrain, in any location, and in any conditions; be it a gnarly backcountry trail or your local race course. This full-day clinic also looks closely at the key elements to finding your flow and builds upon your existing foundation to improve your trail speed and energy management.
You must have a minimum of two years riding experience or have attended a Ninja fundamentals skills clinic or mountain bike skills camp in the last year to join us for this clinic.

Hear what previous Mulberry Gap Camp participants have to say about the camp:::
“The instructors were attentive and always helpful. After learning the fundamental and intermediate skills in the practice area, we hit the trails and the training didn’t stop! Instructors would get to a technical portion of a trail and have us all stop and they would show us how to use the skills we just learned. The camp was worth every penny, highly recommended!” ~Vic D.
“I’m so glad I made the decision to be part of the Ninja Mulberry Gap 3-day camp. Richard and Randy are really skilled at breaking things down, very patient and kind. They were very attentive to what each of us needed individually while maintaining a no-pressure, fun vibe. The place is beautiful, rustic and offers a great opportunity to unplug. I have gained some useful insight about not only being on the bike, but set-up and nutrition as well.” ~Susan T.
“I attended the Ninja Mountain Bike Performance camp at Mulberry Gap with my wife and 20-year-old son. Both are strong and athletic, but lacked experience in mountain biking. Thus, I have always been reluctant to take them on more technical trails. The instructors had them practicing berms, balance beams, and drops before hitting the trails where they put those skills to good use. They were clearing technical terrain in no time! After a weekend of training they improved so impressively that I can’t wait to take them on some of my favorite trails!” ~Armando de A.
“The accommodations at Mulberry Gap Get-A-Way were out of this world! The trails are top-quality too and incredibly fun to ride and teach on. Between Pinhoti, Bear Creak and the Mulberry Gap skills progression area, we had all the terrain and features we needed to really help everyone take their riding to the next level. We can’t wait to go back!” ~Richard La China, Lead Instructor
“The trail network surrounding Mulberry Gap is broad and combined with the well thought out skills area provides plenty of opportunities for teaching a wide array of mountain bike skills. I enjoy providing foundational skills, applying and analyzing them during trail sessions, and presenting genuine feedback prepares camp participants with the necessary tools to navigate diverse terrain.” ~Ryan Brown, Assistant
“Trails full of flow, rocks, roots, technical switchbacks, drops, challenging ascents and fast descents. The riding here was incredible and such a welcomed change for me coming from the desert of Southern California. I look forward to going back in the spring for our next camp.” ~Randy Inglis, Lead Instructor
