The San Diego Mountain Bike Skills team is proud to announce the “Freedom 50” Racers and Chasers event has the Ninja seal of approval.

Take your skills to the racecourse for this super fun, off-road 50-mile extravaganza. You’ll need the skills you’ve developed in high-speed cornering, efficient climbing and of course your “Ninja” ready ridelikeaninja_small_logoposition, and that’s just to start.

With a beautiful course running through the San Dieguito River Park, fully-stocked aid stations, finishers’ swag and a post-race meal all covered in your entry fee, it’s no wonder racers come back year after year for the Freedom 50 — one of the west coast’s premier mountain bike events.

Day 1 (Saturday)

  • 9:15-9:30 Warm-up ride | Head to skills area
  • 9:30-12:15 Mornings skills session | Ready position, bike-body separation, effective braking, fluid shifting, body positioning, wheel lifts

  • 1:30 – 4:00 Intro to jumping | Manuals, bunny hops + how to safely jumping (and land) your mountain bike

Day 2 (Sunday)

After camp, you will see an immediate improvement in your riding and a boost in confidence on technical trails. You will be able to tackle rougher terrain and corners with greater control and flow through singletrack, switchbacks, and berms with more speed and efficiency.
